District-level Conference for the volunteers working in Salem & Namakkal districts was held. This conference was jointly organized by Tamil Nadu Alliance, Don Bosco Anbu Illam, and the Women’s Organization in Rural Development (WORD). There were more than 230 volunteers participated in the conference. The sole objective of the district-level conference was to gather the volunteers working strenuously to reduce the risks of young Women Workers in Textile Industries in Namakkal District and to create a common platform for the volunteers to share their knowledge, skills, and field-based experiences and to capacitate them further to promote leadership to reduce the risks of young women workers in Textile Industries in Namakkal District.
The works of Don Bosco Anbu Illam were exhibited as stalls with self-explaining photos, and IEC materials. Also, the handicrafts such as Necklaces, Ornaments, and Bangles made by the Adolescent Girls, and Mattresses made by the Community support group members were displayed.
Important Government officials of Namakkal districts like the District Child Protection officer, District Child Labour Elimination Project Director, District Social Welfare Officer, District Legal Service Authority Secretary, Common Service Center, District Manager, and the Program advisors of BAT and APF project. Best Facilitators and Field coordinators were felicitated for their dedicated work commitment towards achieving the objective of the project. 9 staff of Don Bosco Anbu Illam were awarded.
