Access to safe water is the most basic human need for health and well-being. Nearly all of our body’s major systems depend on water to function and survive; with water making up about 60% of our body weight. Water serves as a vital nutrient to the life of every cell, acts first as a building material, it regulates our internal body temperature by sweating and respiration.
In simple terms, it can be said that water keeps our body fit and healthy in all circumstances. In taking care of whoever comes to Don Bosco Anbu Illam, we have installed a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifier to provide everyone with safe drinking water. Around 150 people consume water in Don Bosco Anbu Illam. In view of increased numbers, the new RO can purify up to 250 Liters per hour. The new RO was blessed on 09.04.2023 by Fr. Amalorpavaraj SDB, Executive Director of CAUVERY, Tiruchy together with the Salesians, boys of Don Bosco Anbu Illam & benefactors. We are grateful to the association members of SARI, Mr Joseph and his family members for supporting us to buy a new water purifier. Whoever comes to Don Bosco Anbu Illam will cherish and enjoy good & safe drinking water.
