On 04.10.2023, the evaluation and planning meeting of the dropout prevention project was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Kallukuzhi, Trichy. Project partners from 7 Don Bosco institutions participated. Meeting started with invocation and an opening note of greetings by Rev. Fr. Robert Simon Assistant Director – Cauveri PDO. This project is an initiative of the province to “Empower Rural Poor Youth through school dropout prevention and mainstreaming initiatives in eight locations in Tamil Nadu”. During the meeting evaluation of all the efforts taken to prevent dropout through 80 after school supplementary education centres, bridge courses and vocational skill trainings in the project locations were analyzed in detail. Also, steps to be taken for effective implementation of the project, the importance of recording, challenges encountered and suggestions to overcome the same were discussed in detail. Meeting came to an end with a note of felicitation of the team by Rev. Fr Amaladoss Samson, Provincial Economer INT & Director– Cauveri PDO
