Event Overview
The bi-annual batch meeting, a cherished tradition in our province, brought together priests and Salesian brothers who professed between 1992 and 2001. This year’s gathering took place at the serene Valam Retreat Center in Irudayakulam, Tirunelveli district, graciously hosted by the Sacred Heart brothers of the Palayamkottai province.
Participants
Thirty-six priests and two Salesian brothers attended the two-day program on August 22-23, 2024.
Day 1 Activities
The first day commenced with an insightful input session by Rev. Fr. Arul Ambrose, Parish Priest of Ambasamudram, on “New Forms of Youth Ministry.” This thought-provoking topic sparked lively group discussions and presentations. Later, Fr. Provincial led an open forum to address various provincial matters.
Day 2 Activities
The second day was filled with joy and camaraderie. Following a solemn Holy Eucharist celebrated by this year’s silver jubilarians at the Irudayakulam parish church, the group enjoyed a delightful breakfast.
Excursions
The morning was spent exploring the breathtaking Manimutharu Falls, where they also had the opportunity to bathe. After lunch, the group visited the picturesque Karayar Dam and Kalyana Theertham viewpoint.
Conclusion
The meeting concluded with a warm tea gathering, leaving participants with fond memories.
Coordination
The entire event was skillfully coordinated by the Vice Provincial, ensuring a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.
