On 31 August 2024, ninety-five students and six staff members of Don Bosco High School, Manakkal, Lalgudi, guided by the Headmaster, embarked on an exposure visit to Trichy.
Objective of the Visit
The main goal was to provide students with a unique learning experience by exploring Trichy’s cultural, historical, and educational landmarks.
Key Destinations Explored
Trichy Railway Station
Students observed the railway operations and gained insights into the transportation system. This helped them understand the role of railways in public transport and logistics.
Rock Fort Temple
The visit focused on the temple’s historical significance and architectural marvels. Students learned about the cultural heritage of the region.
Theppakulam Bazaar
Students experienced the local market culture by observing vendors and learning about the local economy. They gained exposure to everyday economic activities and the importance of local businesses.
St. Joseph’s College
Students toured the college campus, interacted with faculty and students, and gained valuable knowledge about higher education opportunities.
Highlights of the Visit
For 40 students, this was their first train journey, making the experience unforgettable. Students also developed essential life skills, such as independence, teamwork, and time management.
This exposure visit was a significant step toward holistic learning, combining education, culture, and personal growth.
