On November 9th, 2024, a meeting was organized at the Perambalur Positive Network Centre for HIV-infected children, widows, and women. The meeting commenced at 10:30 am with a warm welcome to all the participants. Fifteen HIV-infected children, twenty-five HIV-infected widows, and ten HIV-infected women attended the session and actively participated in the discussions.

Informative Sessions

Fr. Lawrence kicked off the meeting by explaining the mission and work of the Don Bosco Care Home, which provides essential care and support for HIV-infected children and women. His presentation highlighted the importance of community-based care and the various initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of affected individuals.

Mr. Srinathan then took the floor to speak about healthcare services available to the participants, focusing on the importance of availing government benefits and accessing healthcare resources. His talk provided valuable insights into the practical steps individuals can take to improve their health and quality of life.

Mrs. Revathi, from the DAPCU, addressed the gathering on the importance of education for HIV-infected children. She emphasized how education plays a crucial role in the lives of these children, offering them a brighter future and greater opportunities.

At the end of the meeting, essential nutrition supplements and a bed sheet were distributed to each participant, offering some comfort and support.
