The Silver Jubilee celebrations of St. Sebastian’s Church, Keela Eral, took place over three days. The first day began with a procession of carrying the flag of St. Sebastian through the entire village, during which the faithful meaningfully prayed the Rosary. After the procession, Fr. Ravi Balan, Vicar General of the Diocese of Tuticorin, hoisted the flag and celebrated the Holy Eucharist.
The second day was marked by the presence of Fr. Agilan Sarprasadam, the Provincial of INT, who presided over the Holy Eucharist and preached during the Mass. Former parish priests concelebrated the Mass. After the liturgical celebrations, a cultural programme was held in which the former parish priests were felicitated, and they shared their experiences in the parish. A fraternal meal concluded the day. The third day was marked by the Holy Mass and the lowering of the flag, presided over by Fr. Paul Samy, one of the former parish priests. Thus, the celebrations concluded with filial sentiments of joy and gratitude.
