The INT Young Salesians (PT & CS) Meeting was held at Don Bosco Provincial House, Trichy, on 1–2 August 2026. The gathering brought together young Salesians for prayer, fraternity, formation, and reflection on the Salesian mission. The programme focused on the Preventive System, emotional regulation, personal accompaniment, spiritual direction, and the growth of Salesian brotherhood.
Day One – 1 August 2026
The first day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 7.00 a.m., presided over by Fr. Victor, the Vice Provincial. The Eucharistic celebration set a prayerful and reflective tone for the entire meeting.
Following prayer and breakfast, the clerics attended a series of formative sessions on the Preventive System Spirituality. The sessions were animated by Fr. Daniel Sebastian from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., and continued again from 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Through his presentations, Fr. Daniel explained the relevance of Don Bosco’s Preventive System in contemporary Salesian life and ministry. He highlighted the importance of reason, religion, and loving-kindness as the foundational pillars of Salesian accompaniment.
After tea, the clerics travelled to Don Bosco Model Farm, Sengipatti for a time of recreation and fraternity. The evening programme included a refreshing swimming, batch-wise sharing of Br. Monon’s experience in Belgiuim and meetings, and supper together, providing an opportunity for deeper interaction and strengthening of fraternal bonds among the young Salesians.
The clerics returned to Don Bosco Provincial House at approximately 10.30 p.m., concluding a fruitful day of learning, fellowship, and renewal.
Day Two – 2 August 2026
The second day commenced with the Holy Eucharist at 7.00 a.m., presided over by Rev.Fr. Doss Kennedy the Provincial. At the conclusion of the Eucharistic celebration, a group photograph was taken to commemorate the gathering.
At 9.00 a.m., sessions on Emotional Regulation and Control were conducted by Fr. David Ryan sdb, Fr. Justin Sengol sdb, and Fr. Ricopar Ryan sdb. The speakers addressed the importance of emotional maturity, self-awareness, and healthy emotional management in religious life and pastoral ministry. The sessions continued until 12.00 noon, encouraging active participation and reflection among the clerics.
Subsequently, Fr. Vice Provincial animated a session on the Personal Plan of Life (PPL). He emphasized the significance of having a clear and practical personal plan to foster spiritual growth, vocational commitment, and balanced personal development. The session continued until lunch.
After lunch, at 2.30 p.m., Fr. Provincial led a session on Spiritual Direction and Its Importance. He stressed the value of regular spiritual accompaniment in discerning God’s will, nurturing one’s vocation, and sustaining personal and pastoral effectiveness.
Following tea, the participants departed, bringing the two-day programme to an end.The INT Young Salesians Meeting at Don Bosco Provincial House, Trichy, was a meaningful experience of formation, prayer, and fraternity. The sessions on the Preventive System, emotional regulation, personal planning, and spiritual direction enriched the participants and strengthened their commitment to Salesian life and mission. The gathering fostered a spirit of brotherhood and encouraged the young Salesians to continue serving the Lord with joy, inspired by the charism of Don Bosco and guided by the Preventive System.
