Activities were structured around four key dimensions of Salesian Youth Ministry: Vocational Guidance, Cultural Education, Faith Formation, and Social Responsibility.
Key Achievements:
- Vocational Guidance: Campus Interviews in June–July 2024 led to job placements for 150 students. The Freshers’ Course supported 250 new students in understanding their trades. Industrial visits to Bangalore and other cities gave students vital industry exposure. Leadership from the institution participated in regional meetings like the Principal’s Meet, DBTECH, and SKIP, expanding student opportunities.
- Cultural and Educational Programs: Celebrations of Ayudha Pooja, Pongal, and Christmas promoted cultural awareness and unity. Sports tournaments and skill-based seminars enriched student engagement and personal growth. A Tech Expo planned for January 2026 is set to showcase student talent.
- Faith and Spiritual Growth: Events like Don Bosco Feast, Carol Competitions, and Christmas Mass strengthened students’ moral and spiritual values, emphasizing community, gratitude, and faith.
- Health and Social Awareness: Seminars on de-addiction, skin health, eye safety, and blood donation drives helped students become socially responsible and health-conscious. Activities like hospital visits and ANTI-DRUG CLUB awareness fostered empathy and service-mindedness.
- Leadership and Staff Development: Class Leaders’ Meets and Rover Training sessions empowered students with leadership and life skills. Staff Animation Programs enhanced faculty skills and planning through collaborative evaluations and training.
Challenges Faced:
- Limited financial resources affected the scale of programs.
- Low student admissions impacted campus capacity.
- Outdated lab infrastructure hindered advanced technical training.
Conclusion:
Despite challenges, the Commission made impactful strides in student development across educational, cultural, spiritual, and social fronts. Moving forward, the focus will be on upgrading facilities, improving admissions, and launching innovative programs with the support of all stakeholders.
