Tiruchy, Mar. 1. 2014 In continuation of women empowerment initiatives to the Sri Lankan refugee women (SLR), a 2-day Club Management skill training workshop was organized at Tirunelveli on 25 and 26 February 2014 and at Trichy on 28 Feb and 1 Mar 2014. The Sri Lankan women club members were divided into two groups. One group attended the training workshop at Tirunelveli and the other group at Trichy.

Fr. Ricco, SDB, Director, VEMBU welcomed the participants at Tirunelveli and gave an introduction speech. Fr. Daniel, Vice Provincial, Tiruchy Don Bosco Province welcomed and gave an inaugural speech for the participants at Trichy.

The training contents are same at both the centres. Mr. S. Jeyaseelan and Mr. Deva Raj, both from VEMBU were the resource persons.

The participant women learned about various leadership traits, essentials leadership qualities, goal setting, decision-making skills, how to manage their time to adjust work and life, team management skills, how to resolve conflicts between members, group dynamics, advantages of group and also learned about basic accounting and book-keeping methods to manage their household and business financial management.

32 women club members participated at the Tirunelveli centre and 27 women club members participated at Trichy centre.
