We are happy to inform that Rev. Fr. Angel Fernandez Artime, our Rector Major has appointed Rev. Fr. Agilan Sarprasadam, the present Vice Provincial, as the FIFTH PROVINCIAL of the Salesian Province of Annai Velankanni, Tiruchy (INT). The announcement was made on 18 December 2019.
The installation of the Provincial Elect will be held on 04 JANUARY 2020 .
Fr. Agilan was born on 22 March 1970 at Venkatakulam, Pudukottai Dt, Tamilnadu. He joined as an Aspirant at Don Bosco Thanjavur in the year 1982. He did his prenovitiate at Don Bosco Tiruppattur, his novitiate at Don Bosco Vellakinar, Coimbatore and made his first profession on 24 May 1988. He did his philosophy at The Jnanodaya Salesian Philosophical College, Retreat, Yercaud. He made his perpetual profession on 24 May 1996. He did his theology at Sacred Heart College, Poonamallee, Chennai. He was ordained a priest on 29 December 1999, by Most. Rev. Peter Fernando DD, at Amsam Trichy.
