As John S. Herrington aptly said, “There are no dreams too large, no innovation unimaginable and no frontiers beyond the reach.” True to these words, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Sagayanagar, hosted an inspiring Science Exhibition on October 29th, 2024, in its auditorium. The event was filled with excitement and enthusiasm, showcasing the creative and scientific potential of students from various classes.
Inauguration and Commencement
The exhibition was inaugurated by Fr. Susai Savariyannan SDB, the Correspondent, who blessed the event and encouraged the students to think big and explore new horizons. Fr. Innovative Projects and Models
Students had the unique opportunity to explore and express their scientific creativity through models and projects. The exhibition featured a wide array of experiments and working models, including Solar Power Energy, Space Satellites, Hydroelectric Generators, Wind Mills, Hydraulic Lifts, Earthquake Detectors, Theft Indicator Alarms, Vacuum Cleaners, and many more. These projects demonstrated not only the students’ understanding of scientific principles but also their ability to apply them in practical, creative ways.
Excitement and Appreciation
The event also attracted students from five different schools, who visited the exhibition with great enthusiasm and curiosity. They marveled at the innovative ideas and appreciated the hard work of the young creators. The spirit of exploration and learning was palpable throughout the day.
Judging and Recognition
After a thorough inspection of the projects, the judges selected the top three models based on creativity, functionality, and scientific accuracy. The recognition of these projects inspired the students and gave them a sense of accomplishment. The exhibition was not just a display of knowledge but a celebration of innovation and problem-solving.
Learning Experience for Young Innovators
Overall, the Science Exhibition provided a fantastic hands-on learning experience, allowing children to translate theoretical scientific concepts into real-world applications.
