Theme: Leap into Excellence
From May 2 to May 20, DBSE Sayalgudi conducted a vibrant summer camp under the theme “Leap into Excellence”. Over three weeks, students engaged in academic, creative, and sports-based activities that encouraged teamwork, learning, and confidence-building.
English Camp
Led by Br. Vijilius and team, 62 students enhanced their communication skills through fun listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities. Games and group work made language learning enjoyable.
Music Course
Conducted by Br. Anisto, the course nurtured 10 students in basic vocals and instruments. The program ended with a lively performance showcasing their talents.
Computer Course
Ms. Solaiswari trained 16 students in essential digital skills, including typing, programming, and hardware knowledge, using practical, hands-on methods.
Skating & Archery
Mr. Ajay Paul coached 26 students in skating, helping them improve balance and confidence. Archery training focused on focus, safety, and aim, benefiting 4 students.
Table Tennis & Volleyball
Under Mr. Kannan, students improved hand-eye coordination and teamwork through table tennis and volleyball training. Matches and games enhanced physical fitness and cooperation.
Conclusion
The camp was a resounding success, blending academics, sports, and creativity. It promoted holistic student development, with positive feedback from both students and parents.
Village Summer Camps – DB SAYAL Evening Study Centers

Community Outreach
From April to May 2025, DB-SAYAL organized outreach summer camps across 32 evening study centers, combining 2–3 villages per session to conduct one-day or two-day camps. These camps reached around 475 participants, including children and adults.
Villages & Participation
Camps were conducted in:
- Mookaiyur (95 participants)
- Narippaiyur (50)
- Vazhampatti, Kuruvadi, Maariyur, and others (20–60 per location)
Activities Conducted
- Moral talks (led by Bro. Vijilius)
- Life skills & values education
- Games & competitions
- Cultural programs
- Team-building activities
Children were divided into teams, engaged in fun games, learned about rights, responsibilities, and education, and received refreshments each day.
Impact
The camps strengthened community bonds and motivated students through interactive learning. The initiative provided joyful and meaningful summer experiences in both school and village settings.
