Training and Meeting of Administrators
The Economer’s Office of Salesian Province of Tiruchy, organised a two-day workshop for the new Administrators and Accountants, followed by the Meeting of Administrators and Accountants of all Salesian Houses.
Ten new administrators and accountants participated in the training held on 6th and 7th July 2026. Mr. John Peter and Mr. Chinnapparaj, senior accountants of Economer’s Office, shared their knowledge on various topics: Society Registration and Maintenance, Norms regarding FCRA and Income Tax and hands-on training on ACME-ERP, software usage.
The theme for the Administrators and Accountants meeting held on 8th July, 2026, was ‘Salesian Administration: Knowledge, Systems and Accountability. Nearly 50 participants were present for the meeting. Fr. Victor Antonyraj, Vice-Provincial, welcomed the participants and the resource persons. Chartered Accountants from Ms. Thomas and Co, Mr. Rozario, Mr. Kamlesh and Mr. Ravi animated the forenoon sessions with inputs on new norms of Income Tax and FCRA. In the afternoon session, Fr. Ricopar Royan, the Provincial Economer, stressed the need to view the Registered Society as a whole and create systems to make it function professionally. Fr. Doss Kennedy, Provincial, concluded the day with his insights on the Caring Role of the Salesian Administrators in the Community.
