Kallukuzhy, Tiruchirappalli | July 3–4, 2026
The Salesian Province of Tiruchy (INT) convened its annual Leaders’ Meet on 3–4 July 2026 at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Kallukuzhy, bringing together Rectors and leaders of the Province for two days of prayer, reflection, formation, and strategic planning.
The gathering commenced with prayer and a welcome, fostering a spirit of communion among the participants. Fr. Provincial animated the opening sessions on “Salesian Consecrated Vocation” and “Rector: Guardian of Salesian Identity,” inviting the leaders to renew their commitment to their vocation and to strengthen their role as animators of Salesian communities entrusted to their care.
The afternoon featured an enriching session by Fr. Varan Vardhan of St. Paul’s Seminary, Tiruchirappalli, on “Hidden Gen Z: Understanding and Accompanying Young Seminarians in Today’s Context.” The session examined the changing realities of Generation Z, highlighting the importance of understanding the aspirations, struggles, and unique characteristics of today’s young people. Participants reflected on effective ways of accompanying young seminarians with empathy, authenticity, and a deeper appreciation of the cultural and digital contexts shaping their lives.
The day concluded with the solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist on the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, followed by fellowship during the community dinner.
The second day began with meditation and the Eucharistic celebration. The Provincial Economer conducted a session on Governance, Systems and Administration, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and efficient institutional management. This was followed by Fr. Provincial’s address on the concerns and priorities of the Province, encouraging collaborative leadership, missionary zeal, and renewed commitment to the Salesian charism in responding to the needs of young people.
The meeting concluded with lunch and departure, leaving the participants inspired to strengthen Salesian identity, foster effective leadership, and continue the mission of accompanying young people in the spirit of St. John Bosco.
