Don Bosco Vidivelli celebrates the Women’s Day
The Women’s day was celebrated at Don Bosco Vidivelli on 12.03.2023. There were 150 women from 16 villages in and around Kalavasal participated in the celebration. All the women who participated in this celebration are connected to Don Bosco Vidivelli through the self groups, Women empowerment programs and tailoring training program.
The celebrations began in the morning at 10 am with various games and competitions for the women. The winners of the competitions and games were given prizes during the cultural program. We began the cultural program at 11 am. Fr.Amalorpavaraj, the Director of Cauveri, the province development office presided over the function and gave the inaugural address.
The following chief guest were invited to speak and share their life experiences as women in various field of work. Mrs. Krishnaveni, the President, T.Karisalkulam panchayath, Mrs.Nava Jeya krishnakumari, Sub inspector, Alangulam Police station, Mrs. Josephine, Asst.Headmistress, St.Antony’s High School, Melanmarainadu, Mrs.Ramya Anantharaman, Advocate, chennai High Court and Mrs.Deepa, Special police, Mottamalai.
The chief guest shared about their life experiences and the way they have become successful women in the society. All of them insisted that the way to become successful women is through self discipline, self confidence and courage. There was a good interaction between the invited guest and the participants. The participants expressed that the talks and sharing by the guest were very inspiring and motivating.
We had the cultural programs with awareness songs, Poems and dances. Fr.Vimalan gave the vote of thanks and thanked all the chief guest for their availability and sharing, the participants for their involvement and enthusiasm and active participation. We concluded the celebration
with sharing of meals with all.
