Thirty-four Salesians serving in the various schools of the INT Province gathered on 26 June 2026 at Don Bosco, Manikandam, Trichy, to reflect on the present educational scenario and identify affirmative measures to further enhance the educational environment in Don Bosco schools.

The programme featured two distinguished resource persons. Mr. Agastiya Bharathi inspired the participants with his passion for nurturing the unique talents and potential of every child. Drawing from several of his successful interventions in the lives of young people, he highlighted the practical effectiveness of his Junior IAS programme and demonstrated how it empowers students to discover their strengths and aspire to meaningful leadership.

The second resource person, Mr. Britto, a social activist, invited the participants to critically examine the current socio-political landscape of the country. He challenged the Salesians, as enlightened and committed educators, to form students who are not swayed by carefully crafted narratives but are guided by a well-formed conscience and an impeccable character. He emphasized that the rights enshrined in the Constitution can serve as a beacon of hope and direction in this educational mission.

Fr. Doss Kennedy, the Provincial, who was present throughout the programme, expressed his appreciation for the unwavering commitment and dedicated service of the confreres. He encouraged them to continue improving the standards of education in their institutions and challenged them to become trailblazers in the field of education, following the inspiring example of Don Bosco.

The day was made even more memorable by the art exhibition organized by Fr John Dharman SDB on the theme Drug Free World. Everyone appreciated the quality of the art work and the powerful message it communicated through the stunning visuals.
